I think all of you agree with me that black&white photography is much more significant than the color one. The subject is better put on view. I think it’s harder to make a b&w photo because you must be more careful with the shadows and highlights, tone of greys and contrasts. The most difficult thing to do is a simple one. The feelings you seek to express are more powerful in b&w. Of course, b&w photography expresses sadness, coldness and misery. You can’t shoot everytime in black&white, for example: landscapes, flowers, insects, macro, still life. But there are other domains of photography in which b&w would be the most appropriate: portrait, architecture, street, nude. In this case, b&w gives more refinement, simplicity and a more profound message. The lines, the shapes and the harmony between light and shadow are more emphasized in black&white photography.
